THE 868MHZ UNITS ARE FOR LORA GATEWAY CONNECTIONS ONLY. YOU NEED A LORA WAN GATEWAY TO USE THE 868MHZ MODULES.
If using for Solar and Modbus meters, you need the LoRa Wireless RS485 transmitter and receiver with LCD screen – 2 Units – NOT THIS
The LoRaWAN Data Transmission Terminal is a universal communication terminal designed and manufactured around the LoRa RF chip.
It integrates two industrial-standard RS485 interfaces and supports a variety of protocols to enable data transmission between wired and wireless devices.
It supports the LoRaWAN Class C protocol. It can be widely applied in IoT, centralised metering, and industrial control, among other areas.
LoRa data transmission terminals universal communication interface equipment.
Allows wireless transmission of RS485 data, eliminating the need for long cables in complex installs.
The default factory setting is channel 0(433.175MHz), a total of 8 channels from 433.175-434.575MHz.
You can also read the default setting via the configuration software (download link below) by selecting “Read” under Operation.
Or you can set other RF settings according to your application, then click “Write”.
Includes a pair of communicators (transmitter and receiver).
Note: If more than one LoRa transmitter/receiver set is used on site, they must operate on different communication channels.
IMPORTANT: ALWAYS CONNECT THE ANTENNA BEFORE POWERING UP THE TRANSMITTER OR RECEIVER

What’s the difference between 433MHz and 868MHz?
Both bands are part of the free-license ISM bands.
The 433 MHz frequency band has been widely used in many control applications, while 868 MHz is exclusively reserved for communication between wireless sensor networks.
Since many wireless products utilise the 433MHz band, this can lead to interference and communication disturbances between different products.
The 868 MHz band is exclusively opened for wireless systems; it’s less likely to be interfered with and used with a LoRa WAN gateway only. TheThe
433MHz band is used for solar electrical meters to the solar inverter without running a cable.
Which is better: 433MHz or 868MHz?
In terms of transmission distance, generally, signals with longer wavelengths travel farther and penetrate objects better than signals with shorter wavelengths.
Higher frequencies result in shorter wavelengths.
Technically, 433 MHz can travel farther than 868 MHz.
But 433 MHz and 868 MHz may have the same radio frequency (RF) transmission performance because many other factors determine it.
