Heat Meters
A heat meter, also known as a thermal energy meter or BTU meter, is a device that measures the amount of thermal energy delivered by a heating or cooling system. It works by combining two key parameters: the volume of the heat-transfer fluid (e.g., water or glycol) and the temperature difference between the system’s supply and return lines. This enables the meter to calculate energy consumption in units such as kilowatt-hours (kWh), megajoules (MJ), or gigajoules (GJ) for residential, commercial, or industrial applications.
